Lip Blush
HOW IT'S DONE
Lip blush is done with a permanent makeup machine, it is used to insert pigment into the upper layers of the skin. It is designed to outline and enhance your natural lips, giving them a fuller appearance. Numbing cream is used and reapplied if needed to make the process as comfortable as possible!
What to expect at your
lip blush appointment
When you arrive for your lip blush appointment, you will first fill out a consent form. We then apply numb cream that sits for 10 minutes while we discuss the process, any questions you might have and what you would like your lips to look like.
We will wipe off the numb cream, then shape out the lips. This is called the predraw and is done with a makeup pencil.
This way you get to approve the size and shape before we begin!
Any adjustments you would like are done at this point, the predraw is perfected and then we are ready to begin!
(The predraw will be done on the outer line of your lips, we cannot add pigment to your skin outside of the lips as it does not heal the same as the lip skin. Lip blush gives the appearance of fuller lips, however we do not actually add size to the lips).
We will have you lay down for the procedure (cozy blanket optional!)
With lip blush, we use a permanent makeup machine that works similar to a tattoo machine. We will start by lining the lips and then add the shading to the inner lips by inserting tiny dots of pigment into the upper layer of the skin.
We numb the lips through the entire process to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible.
After the first pass, we will sit you up to take a look, we can still make small adjustments before the next pass.
With your approval, we will finish the lips, wipe them clean and you’re ready to sit up and admire your new look!
(They will be swollen)
We discuss aftercare instructions and provide you with an aftercare balm to use while healing. We also send you a link to the instructions so that you can review it again later.
